The YouTube Music Partner Program is a unique opportunity that allows creators to earn additional revenue by using licensed background music in their YouTube Shorts. Every time you include our approved tracks in your videos, YouTube generates music royalties—which we share directly with you. This revenue stream is completely separate from the standard YouTube Partner Program, meaning you can earn on top of your existing monetization. It’s a simple, passive way to boost your income while continuing to create the content you love.
HOW DO I INCREASE MY YOUTUBE SHORTS REVENUE?
To maximize your revenue from YouTube Shorts, focus on three key things: consistency, audience demographics, and watch time. Posting regularly with Shorts that are at least 35 seconds long tends to perform better in terms of RPM. Creators who attract audiences from countries like the US, UK, Canada, and Australia usually see higher earnings. Using music from our approved library at a minimum of 12% volume also ensures proper tracking and monetization. The more engaging your content is, the better your retention—and the higher your earnings.
HOW DO I TRACK MY EARNINGS?
Once you start using our music, you’ll be onboarded to our analytics dashboard where you can monitor your real-time earnings. The dashboard shows your total views, RPM, and net profit—all in one place. Please note there’s a 48-hour delay in reporting due to YouTube’s data processing. If you ever need assistance, our team is here to help.
HOW ARE PAYMENTS MADE?
We process payments through our trusted partner, Tipalti. Once your payment is due, our finance team will reach out to onboard you to the platform, where you can choose your preferred payment method—whether it’s PayPal, wire transfer, or direct bank deposit.
Payments are made on a net 90 basis, meaning you’ll receive your payout 90 days after the end of your first full calendar month with us. For example, if you start using our music in January, your first payout will be processed in early May.
For high-earning creators, we offer an expedited net 65 payment schedule.
CAN I USE OTHER BACKGROUND MUSIC ALONG WITH YOURS?
No, we strongly advise against using any other background music alongside ours. You should only use one track per Short, and it must be from the Blast Off Music Library.
Overlaying multiple tracks, mixing in additional audio, or using higher-volume music over ours will invalidate monetization for that video. To ensure your Short is eligible for earnings, use only our music at a minimum volume of 12% for at least 20 seconds.
This keeps your content compliant and ensures our system can track and monetize it properly.
IS THERE ANY MINIMUM VIEWS REQUIREMENT TO JOIN?
No, there’s no strict minimum views requirement to get started. We work with creators at all stages — whether you're just starting out or already generating millions of views.
However, to maximize your earnings, it's ideal if your channel consistently generates Shorts views from countries like the US, UK, Canada, and Australia, as those tend to yield higher RPMs.
